Quality Assurance Engineer

The Quality Assurance Engineer, is responsible for manually testing the Doctor on Demand mobile applications as well as the Web-based Patient and Provider applications. Primary responsibilities include feature testing, bug submission, fix verification, regression testing, test plan and test-case maintenance, and maintaining the high level of quality we expect in our products. 


  • Test web, iOS and Android applications to identify software defects
  • Write comprehensive test plans based on the product spec
  • Run manual test plans for small features 
  • Run full regressions against the entire platform
  • Provide recommendations on improvements to the user experience
  • Triage issues reported by the support team
  • Participate in Engineering and Product Design meetings
  • Work closely with the developers to report and isolate issues
  • Test web and mobile applications to identify software defects
  • Work in a distributed agile team environment, with a high level of communication and collaboration
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously
  • Design, create and maintain smart and efficient test suites and strategies for new and existing functionality
  • Log, track and manage defects
  • Represent QA in planning, stand up, and other scrum ceremonies
  • Work closely with developers to report and isolate issues
  • Triage issues reported by the support team


  • Understanding of API testing and verification using Postman and Developer Tools
  • Strong communication, analytical and team skills
  • Ability to distinguish between bugs caused by data, software, or environment
  • Ability to manage your own time and contribute to estimating and meeting delivery deadlines
  • 2 years experience testing mobile apps and web-based applications
  • Ability to distinguish between bugs caused by frontend or backend
  • Experience testing systems using multiple environments (DEV, QA, PROD)
  • Experience working with Charles Proxy on mobile devices
  • Experience working with Android Studio or other common Android IDE software
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., picking up and computer / laptops) may be required.
  • Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, laptop, and mobile devices).
