Quality Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Manager of Quality Engineering to oversee our distributed teams focused on testing the software we ship on device, particularly using Appium/native test tooling. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of EMEA Quality Engineering and will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. 

About the Role of the Quality Engineering Manager:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage distributed quality engineering teams. 
  • Ensure effective collaboration and coordination among team members across different locations. 
  • Quality Assurance Expertise: Oversee the development and execution of test plans using Native test tools (Android/Kotlin - Android, ObjC/Swift - iOS) for mobile application testing, ensuring high-quality software deployment. 
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Director of EMEA Quality Engineering to develop and implement strategic QA initiatives that align with company objectives. 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in a distributed team environment. 
  • Mentorship and Development: Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. 
  • Reporting and Communication: Maintain regular communication with the Director of EMEA Quality Engineering, providing updates on team performance, project progress, and QA metrics. 

About You as the Quality Engineering Manager:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including experience with mobile application testing using Android/Kotlin - Android, web based test tools like Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, API testing is a huge plus. 
  • 3+ years in managing distributed teams, with strong leadership and team-building skills. 
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and processes. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
