Quantitative Market Researcher, Brand Tracking

You’ll apply your expertise in survey methodology, quantitative data analysis, and the presentation of results to inform decisions around customers, products and markets. You will be working with stakeholders spanning across Product, Marketing, Business Strategy, and more to evaluate Asana’s brand awareness. You’ll provide actionable insights by using survey data from a large-scale brand tracker conducted by a third-party vendor, Qualtrics. 

What you’ll achieve

  • Design, execute, and analyze data from our Brand Tracker to derive insights into product and brand perception, market size and composition, and enterprise customer behavior
  • Design and manage tracking surveys (e.g. brand awareness and competitive benchmarking)
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners in product, design, data science, marketing, business strategy and sales to identify and close gaps in our understanding of Asana’s current customers and potential market
  • Communicate results and recommendations in compelling and creative ways that are relevant to the cross-functional business and product teams
  • Understanding and tracking metrics about Asana and our competitors

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Statistics, Marketing Science, a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in conducting primary research in-house or in a consultancy or agency, including working closely with a third-party vendor (e.g. Qualtrics)
  • Proficiency with questionnaire design, survey sampling, and weighting
  • Proficiency with quantitative methods (e.g. hypothesis testing, descriptive analysis, regression) and applying methods to survey data
  • Proficiency with manipulating and analyzing data with one or more common statistical tools or languages (e.g. SPSS)
  • Experience working with key stakeholders to drive business decision-making
  • Experience in communicating research findings and storytelling to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with project management
  • Expert organizational skills
  • Background in statistical models (e.g. logistic regression, mixed-effects models, and hierarchical linear models)
  • Background in statistical tools (e.g. Google Docs, Excel and Qualtrics)
