R&D Manager

We have launched an important new long-term initiative, GA Credentials. Our purpose is to help people get recognized by employers for what they can do, no matter where they come from. We do that by building market-leading assessments.

After successfully building our first assessments, we seek an R&D Manager to expand the topics where we offer market-leading assessments. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the research, development and launch of new assessments for GA Credentials.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong project manager and proficient in one or more programming languages. This person starts with yes, is flexible and works effectively in a fast- paced environment.



  • Setting the vision on what assessments to build
  • Sizing and segmenting the market for new assessment opportunities
  • Gathering feedback from The GA Credentialing Network
  • Crafting assessment frameworks and methods
  • Sourcing, testing, and refining assessment content
  • Managing subject matter experts who provide assessment content
  • Ensuring assessment content is delivered on time and within budget
  • Launching new assessments




  • Have 2-5 years experience in product management, instructional design or related
  • Have strong project management and organizational skills
  • Have experience managing external stakeholders including partners and contractors
  • Know how to code in one or more languages
  • Are comfortable dealing with high levels of uncertainty
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high growth entrepreneurial environments
  • Are passionate about the world of education, recruitment and careers


It’s an added bonus if you have experience:

  • Designing assessments and credentials
  • Building great consumer products
  • Working as a developer or data scientist
