R&D Scientist - Solid tumors

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of R&D Scientist. The key activity will be the execution of the experimental work for the development of novel assays for in-vitro diagnostic testing of drug response on selected solid tumors. Sample preparation techniques will be developed along with innovative cell-based biological assays to be validated both at preclinical and clinical levels on a proprietary platform developed by Cellply.

Functions

  • Perform experimental work including cell culturing and analysis of cancer cell death and signaling induced by anticancer drugs, both on preclinical or ex-vivo clinical samples
  • Evaluate existing methods and develop custom methods for the manipulation and preparation of solid tumor samples from patients
  • Develop new assays based on high-content analysis and fluorescence cell imaging
  • Optimize assay performance and its integration in clinical workflow
  • Work effectively in multidisciplinary team including engineering and computational sciences, addressing diverse scientific and technical questions
  • Scientific interest in the fields of oncology, cell biology and anticancer drug testing
  • Research experience in an international lab is a plus
  • Experience or demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is an important skill
