Registered Nurse - Care Navigator (Full Time)

Pager is reinventing the traditional doctor-patient experience. Our service offers people access to quality, convenient care wherever and whenever needed. We send board-certified doctors to a patient’s home, office or hotel within 2 hours to treat urgent care needs – a convenient alternative to crowded emergency rooms and busy doctor’s offices.



Care Navigators are key players in daily operations at Pager and are excited about using technology for next generation healthcare. They are on the front line everyday - working with and helping both patients and clinicians. Their main goals are to:

  • Provide an excellent patient experience and ensure that patients receive the proper medical care at the right time.
  • Quickly solve any problems (clinical and non-clinical) in a professional yet warm manner.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills. We are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused nurses. This is not a traditional nursing job -- It requires someone who is willing to think outside of the box and utilize their clinical skills in a new way!


Job Responsibilities:

  • Live chat with patients
  • Gather administrative and basic patient medical information
  • Coordinate lab orders, prescription deliveries, radiology orders, and logistics between patients and providers
  • Send referrals, doctor’s notes, superbills, and requests for medical records
  • Check insurance eligibility, provide aftercare instructions, and follow up care to patients
  • Monitor and track provider teleconsults and home visits status
  • Identify problems and create solutions for technological needs and operational inefficiencies to improve patient experience
  • Test Pager’s product and provide feedback to new clinical services and product features
  • Troubleshoot and detect bugs for any technical/operational issues for patients, providers, and partners
  • Work on side projects such as writing/updating clinical protocol or creating medical content for the marketing team’s blog posts


Clinical Requirements:

  • Active New York RN license and registration
  • 2+ years experience caring for patients in inpatient/outpatient settings
  • Willing to get multi-state licensed
  • Have worked as a RN in ER, Urgent Care, or ICU (not required but a plus)
  • Experience in Triage Call Center (not required but a plus)
  • Dual-licensed in NJ or TX (not required but a plus)

  • Motivated and organized with a careful attention to detail
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Able to work in a team as well as individually
  • Excellent oral and written language skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills
  • Tech savvy
  • Previous experience at a startup (not required but a plus)


Schedule Requirements:

  • Rotating Full Time Schedule
  • Shifts are Monday through Sunday from 8am-8pm
  • 3 shifts a week (with one added shift per month to reach full time hours)
  • Required to work every other weekend
