Job Summary
As a Reporting Analyst on the Strategic Data team, you will play a vital role in the development of analytical reporting solutions at Lone Wolf Technologies. Your primary focus as a reporting analyst will be to collaborate with teams across the organization to understand data needs and to create actionable, insightful, and intuitive reporting solutions that fulfil those needs. These reporting solutions will be used to monitor the success of our organization and identify opportunities for improvement.
Essential Responsibilities
• Gather and document reporting requirements from subject matter experts across all teams in the organization.
• Manage deliverable milestones and timelines while communicating clearly with stakeholders and teammates throughout reporting projects.
• Build and maintain Power BI dataflows to extract data from source systems and transform that data into dimensional model tables (i.e., ETL/ELT).
• Build and maintain Power BI semantic models for use in reporting and self-service solutions.
• Build and maintain Power BI reports to provide insights into the successes and opportunities of the organization.
• Collaborate with other internal teams to advise on system design to ensure the correct data is being captured in source systems for use in downstream analytics.
• Perform peer review and validation on reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Data team to help optimize and document processes, manage priorities, and share learnings.
• Collaborate with Learning and Development team to create and deliver training sessions on Power BI functionalities for end-users
• Support other initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
• 1-3 years of experience as a reporting analyst, data analyst, business intelligence analyst, or similar role.
• Experience extracting, transforming, and presenting data in a data visualization tool (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teammates across the organization and translate technical concepts into clear and concise reports for a non-technical audience.
Preferred:
• Able to extract, transform, and present data specifically using Power BI; this includes knowledge of Power Query (i.e., M language) and DAX.
• Able to present data clearly by using data visualization and storytelling best practices.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling (i.e., Kimball star schema design) techniques and best practices.
• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and underlying data structures.
• Experience collaborating with remote teams.
