Retail Operations Associate Manager

Warby Parker is searching for a Retail Operations Associate Manager to oversee and facilitate the rapid spread of our brick and mortar presence. Your job? Get our new stores and teams off to a running start—and welcome them to the Warby Parker family!


What you’ll do:

  • Plan and manage the new store opening calendar, in partnership with Project Managers, District Leaders, Brand Management, Visual, Supply Chain, and Tech Services teams
  • Develop and manage a program to leverage field team leaders to execute operational setup and training for new locations
  • Plan and execute new store openings, including supply ordering, systems set up, and on-site execution; translation: project manage from start to finish!Research requirements and process business license for new locations, partnering with District Leader and local store teams as needed
  • Lead a cross-functional team to plan the new store turnover (everything that needs to happen between construction and opening)—leave no i’s undotted or t’s uncrossed!
  • Conduct on-site store operations training for new store employees; train field team leaders to facilitate operations training
  • Be on constant alert for opportunities to improve the new store opening process

Who you are:

  • Equipped with 1–3 years of retail operations experience (or 2-3 years of store management experience)
  • A strong planner who can think five steps ahead
  • An excellent problem solver who enjoys nothing more than crossing things off the ol’ to-do list!
  • A natural leader, comfortable directing multiple peer teams and third-party vendors
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30% of your first year, based on new store opening schedules
