Revenue Accountant
Joining Collibra's Accounting team:
We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to be the newest member of the Revenue team supporting Collibra’s rapid growth. You will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting, and will play an integral part in the team's day-to-day operations of revenue accounting. You will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, contract review and maintaining revenue accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
Revenue Accountants at Collibra are responsible for:
- Review software and services contracts, including multiple performance obligation arrangements, to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with the revenue policy per ASC 606.
- Perform revenue month-end duties such as account reconciliations, monthly revenue recognition, roll-forward analyses on deferred revenue, etc.
- Ensure revenue allocations and revenue schedules are accurately reflected in NetSuite, including any manual JEs as necessary.
- Support NetSuite ARM, Salesforce and other system integration and enhancement projects, as required.
- Challenge the “status quo” and collaborate with deal desk, customer success operations, IT and/or finance on continuous process optimization and automation to drive best practices for revenue and quote to the cash process.
- Support internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of revenue accounting experience, including contract review.
- SaaS or technology company experience; public accounting a plus.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
- Experience with NetSuite (ARM). SalesForce and FloQast are a plus

Reporting to Collibra's Director Revenue Accounting, Revenue Accountant measures of success are:
- Within your first month, you will have a good understanding of Collibra’s products, quote to cash process in SalesForce and NetSuite, and revenue policy.
- Within your third month, you will be able to review orders and contract modifications in NetSuite ARM to ensure accurate treatment in compliance with ASC 606 policies.
- Within your sixth month, you will own the month end tasks, collaborate with various teams and participate in process improvement projects.
