What we are looking for

AvantStay is looking for a Revenue Analyst to join the Finance team. Optimizing revenue management and dynamic pricing practices is central to our continued success as we grow into new markets and increase the number of properties in our portfolio each month.Who are we looking for? You have experience as an analyst and you love complex problem-solving. You’re hungry to learn about our industry and thrive in a startup culture. You are passionate about hospitality and are excited about finding creative revenue management solutions through intricate pricing models. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with a small but growing team that requires a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and ability to think on your feet.

What you’ll do

  • Set pricing and revenue management strategy and tactics for each property and each market via data analysis and leveraging various tools and software. 
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to drive decisions around pricing, seasonality, inventory management, minimum stay requirements, and acquisition. 
  • Effectively communicate both daily, monthly and quarterly revenue performance, pick-up response, metrics and bottom-line results to various stakeholders. 
  • Conduct data analysis for actionable insights on daily pricing strategies as well as long-term forecasting across various markets. 
  • Strategically devise and test a variety of promotion strategies.
  • Manage and execute projects across various teams to ensure success.
  • Work with other teams such as Owner Experience, Marketing, Listings, Distribution, and others to ensure effective execution and strategy across teams.

What you’ll bring

  • Autonomous and highly motivated self-starter. 
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, pricing, revenue management, or other related functions.
  • Ideally, past experience with pricing within hospitality, travel or with an OTA.
  • Knowledge of revenue management metrics within the hospitality market is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and creative affinity.
  • Flexibility and bandwidth to establish systems without a set structure in place.
  • Expertise with spreadsheets. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Bachelors with 2 years experience or a Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or statistics.
  • Some experience with data science or machine learning is helpful.
  • Strong experience in Excel is required.
