about the sales and business development manager role:

the sales and business development manager is responsible for managing the inbound sales team and developing soona’s inbound customer journey from outreach to conversion. the individual in this role is a key contributor driving monthly sales outcomes and long-term customer value. an ideal leader brings strong sales, relationship management combined with deep organization and exceptional communication skills. the inbound sales manager will be responsible for building out a best-in-class inbound sales funnel and designing the strategies that support desired business outcomes.

Requirements

an ideal candidate can:

  • lead and build a high-performance sales funnel to meet and exceed specific core sales metrics including (among others) revenue, conversion to booking, SLA targets and customer satisfaction
  • build processes and systems to develop and nurture a pipeline of high-value customers
  • develop and maintain strong ongoing partnerships with leaders to monitor the sales funnel and determine evolving criteria for qualified leads to engage audiences and potential customers more effectively
  • provide strategic insights to sales and marketing partners based on available data and insights gained from working 1:1 with leads through email, phone, text and chat.
  • work directly with potential customers via email, phone, chat or in-person as needed as a way to continue to hone your sales ability and identify relevant opportunities
  • build out an innovative and tailored strategy for our growing enterprise sales customer base and proactively identify enterprise sales opportunities and serve these customers
  • develop a diverse set of messaging targeted to connect with our expanding customer base
  • assess lead specialist candidates and successfully identify talent through strong interviewing skills as demand requires team growth

has experience in:

  • 4+ years sales and revenue driving experience
  • analytical mindset, skilled at data and reporting analysis
  • exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • effective decision maker with a history of driving results
  • influential leader with strong people management skills
  • thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing startup environment
  • B.A. in relevant field (business, marketing, communication)
  • proficient with G Suite, Slack as well as social media platforms
  • access to a reliable internet connection
