Position Overview

Aclima seeks a smart, enthusiastic go-getter who is passionate about advancing environmental awareness through technology. The position will report to the Director of Product (or CEO, if Director) and be responsible for owning inbound and outbound sales and business development. This individual will be an ambassador for the company to prospective partners and customers, gathering requirements that prioritize Aclima’s product development direction, using interactions to educate the market about Aclima’s brand message and capabilities, developing and delivering sales materials, and coordinating Aclima’s diverse resources to close deals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Partnership strategy

  • Develop partnership strategy with Aclima leadership that aligns with company roadmaps
  • Develop sales and partnership deal process, including prioritization frameworks for inbound and outbound leads, that balances efficiency and effectiveness to close the highest value deals
  • Develop and maintain sales/pitch materials with the support of Aclima design team
  • Collect prospective customer requirements and relay to Product and Engineering

Funnel management

  • Manage inbound and outbound inquiries within CRM system, and track status and performance along funnel to leadership team
  • Qualify leads and build the business plans and metrics for new opportunities
  • Lead customer and partnership exploration and diligence, assembling technical and non-technical Aclima resources as necessary to support progress
  • Coordinate closing, negotiations, and contracting of new partnerships and customers
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure smooth hand-offs

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer empathy and insight, coupled with business judgment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • 5+ years sales, business development, and/or marketing experience with complex enterprise customers
  • Strong track record of forging deep, lasting partnerships
  • Skill planning, prioritizing and executing in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity
  • Passion for Aclima’s mission
  • Independent self-starter and creative problem solver
