About the Role:

We are seeking a Sales Commission Analyst who will support the maintenance of the Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool, handle segment-specific sales compensation administration, reporting, assist with audits, drive process improvements. The Analyst will work with the Director of Revenue Operations on standardizing the worldwide commission process, communications and calculations provided to sales. This role will own relationships with other departments, such a Finance, Compensation/HR/Legal, and IT.


What you will do:

  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of ICM tool throughout the plan year to reflect updates related to new hires, promotions, terminations, and other sales compensation and headcount movements.
  • Validate transaction batches to ensure accuracy of system crediting process.
  • Define and develop solutions based on newly identified compensation elements.
  • Perform timely monthly, quarterly, and annual calculations of sales compensation; validate and monitor payments to ensure adherence to incentive compensation plan components and company policy.
  • Assist payees with questions or concerns related to quota credits and payments.
  • Handle and resolve inquiries and adjustments via the ticketing and other tracking systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales incentive payments and adjustments.
  • Handle audit inquiries and participate in governance and compliance related activities.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external audit requirements.
  • Drive resolutions that will minimize/eliminate manual processes.
  • Evaluate opportunities for deceased redundancy in processing to optimize payout administration.
  • Develop and document procedures to streamline sales compensation systems processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Systems and process training
  • Develop and maintain business partnerships with Finance, HR, Legal, Sales Operations, and Sales leadership to ensure alignment of incentive compensation plans with organizational, financial, and sales goals.
  • Handle analysis, reporting, and tracking of sales compensation metrics.
  • Participate in accrual and forecasting activities.
  • Work with Sales Leadership, Sales Support, Sales Enablement and other leaders to educate on the sales compensation processes.
  • Assist with projects as assigned by management.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Management/Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years experience managing and administering delivery of payouts from successful sales incentive strategies with multiple levels across a diverse workforce.
  • 3+ years recent experience in financial planning and analysis, sales operations, or commissions (commissions experience highly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of major ICM tools or systems (Xactly or CaptivateIQ).
  • Experience with major CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems (Salesforce)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with data analysis, including the ability to develop and create dynamic tools for modelling and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of compliance with internal policies and controls as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
  • Self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to multi-task and work in a global, matrixed, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial management & modelling experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
