Sales Development Representative

Launched in 2014 by parent entrepreneurs Ann Crady Weiss and Dave Weiss, and featured on “Shark Tank” in 2016, Hatch is headquartered in Menlo Park, California. 

We are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic self-starter to grow Hatch’s B2B sales pipeline, focused on corporate wellness sleep solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include capturing, qualifying, and nurturing leads to help turn them into closed sales. This is a great opportunity to learn and drive the fundamentals of sales at a growth start-up that is laser focused on improving peoples’ lives through better sleep. This person must be based in the United States. Company is based out of California, this role would be asked to work PST/PDT hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Become an expert at using lead generation tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to extract contacts and create accurate and targeted lists of prospects
  • Lead outreach to prospects and conduct account development best practices with email, phone, and social media touches 
  • Consistently use CRM to maintain accurate activity, contact, and account information for all prospects
  • Capture, nurture and qualify leads, including booking meetings with prospects
  • Utilize smart, targeted questions to speak knowledgeably with decision makers such as VPs of HR or Wellness 
  • Develop talking points to overcome prospect objections, showcase how Hatch can meet their needs, and educate leads to create sales-ready opportunities
  • Become an expert on Hatch's suite of products and B2B case studies to share with customers
  • Positively represent Hatch with potential buyers across seniority levels
  • Work closely with the sales team in the ongoing optimization of strategic sales approaches
  • Provide insights to and collaborate with marketing to optimize conversion rates across all points of the funnel
  • Help identify and install tools to optimize lead management
  • Meet quotas of sourced qualified opportunities
  • Be eager to learn, open to feedback, and driven to improve each day

Who You Are

  • Four-year degree or relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years of sales development experience
  • Excited about wellness and helping people get better sleep
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment with minimal direction
  • Hustle and persistence
  • Familiarity with Hubspot and/or Outreach.io a bonus
  • Prior experience selling into Benefits / HR teams is a plus
