Sales Engineer

Intellum makes it easy for clients to deliver the learning experience that their audience is expecting. As such, our sales team engages daily with industry leaders in their markets who are looking to educate audiences of varying sizes all around the world. Our team is growing rapidly and we are now looking for a highly-skilled Sales Engineer or Functional Specialist with the experience and technical savvy to concisely deliver our message to clients and prospects. If you love to roll up your sleeves and work closely with clients to dig into their requirements and deliver a tailored product demonstration, this might be the role for you!


  • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to hone the message delivered to clients and prospects while staying abreast of product updates and changes in functionality.
  • Responsible for regular product demonstrations which require prompt preparation and custom use-case tailoring within the Intellum platform, including developing custom CSS/HTML and working with content/images.
  • Must have a creative and problem-solving mindset to regularly assist clients with matching platform capabilities to their requirements.
  • Quickly develop detailed knowledge of the Intellum learning platform, market, and client use-case scenarios.
  • Assist the sales team with opportunity discovery and client requirement gathering.
  • Assist the marketing team with implementing and maintaining outward-facing learning environments.
  • Actively ensure a smooth transition from sales to project implementation while conveying key requirements.


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a related discipline
  • Strong background in software/SaaS and related technologies (understand the vernacular and use-cases)
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently
  • Prefer to work in a team setting and naturally collaborate with peers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate commitment to quality and client success
  • Ability to travel up to 35%, as needed/required
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Functional knowledge of corporate IT environments and solution stacks
  • Operational knowledge and practice of Solution Selling and/or Challenger Sale methodologies
  • 5+ years experience as a Sales Engineer or similar role in B2B SaaS sales
