What we are looking for:

As a Sales Engineer, you will have the opportunity to help the world’s largest gaming companies adopt the Skillz tournament platform.  You will own the technical relationship with Skillz existing and prospective clients. This involves helping the Publisher Development team successfully close sales and supporting clients post-sale. We are seeking individuals who can oversee the Skillz SDK implementation from the initial kickoff call to the app store release as well as through technical updates in the future. You will interact with clients through face-to-face, email and phone communication while you work with product managers, salespeople, account managers and engineers.  Through this communication, you’ll collect and filter feedback from clients and translate it into actionable steps for product/engineering. With the Skillz team’s support, you will become an expert in some of the newest mobile technologies including live streaming.

   Your Skillz:

  • Hands-on mobile application development experience (iOS/Android)
  • Familiar with app store release process (iOS/Android)
  • Good understanding of mobile technologies, able to extrapolate knowledge from one framework/language to another
  • Great interpersonal skills, eager and able to keep clients happy and coworker engineers sane
  • Able to stay organized when working with conflicting requests coming from various channels (email, phone, in-person conversations, online forms)
  • Can translate client requests into clear and actionable feedback for product team
  • Able to reconcile different parties with diverging interests: clients, product management, sales, engineering

 Nice-to-Haves

  • Startup experience
  • Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Unix shell (bash, Terminal etc.)
  • Database experience (MySQL)
  • 2+ years of experience with mobile SDKs (ad network, analytics, attribution, etc.)
  • Excited about mobile gaming and/or e-sports
