Forbes Media seeks a motivated Sales Manager with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding annual revenue goals to join our integrated sales team selling across Forbes’ award-winning platforms including; digital display, mobile, social, podcasts, video, print, custom content, research and live events. Reporting to our SVP, Sales for the Western Region this revenue-driving role is primarily responsible for developing, closing, implementing and managing Forbes' integrated advertising partnerships from both a media agency and client-direct perspective.

  • Aggressively grow existing and prospective accounts across Forbes' product lines, including;, Forbes Magazine, Social, BrandVoice, Insights and ForbesLive
  • Develop, close, execute, and manage long-term, multi-platform programs
  • Creatively sell partnerships outside of the "general presentation" through strategic live communication, email, mailings, and meetings/entertainment
  • Maintain deep relationships with and provide exceptional client support to current and prospective media agencies and clients
  • Accurately manage sales pipeline and forecast
  • Demonstrate outstanding organizational, preparational, and speaking abilities


  • 3+ years of media experience and 1+ years in direct sales
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding annual revenue goals
  • Contacts in the SF/Bay Area market with specific strength in Technology, Finance, B2B, and Healthcare industries.
  • Proficiency in a wide variety of advertising concepts, practices, and platforms
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to succeed in a competitive selling environment
  • Ability to travel (minimal)
  • B.S. / B.A. degree
