This position is 100% remote work.

So, what’s the role?

Kin is GROWING! With the expansion of our sales team we’re looking for a talented Sales Manager to build and lead a sales team. 

Our Sales Manager is responsible for hiring and coaching our front line sales staff to hit and exceed sales targets. After our sales reps go through our custom sales and licensing training, you’ll work closely with your team to coach and mentor individuals to achieve their sales targets. As we change the way our customers purchase insurance and interact with their agents, we value your opinion and expertise on areas of improvement.  

The Sales Manager is responsible for assessing and managing the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team through keen coaching to guide them towards meeting and exceeding the company’s sales targets and goals.

A day in the life could include:

  • Strategy and Implementation: 
  • Establishing smart sales objectives to forecast and develop monthly, weekly, and daily sales quotas by leveraging a well studied understanding of our target customers and how they relate to our products 
  • Meeting target performance plan and objective standards for sales representatives based on Kin’s monthly and annual goals and providing accurate data reporting of sales goals and tracking
  • Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs

  • Holistic people management:
  • Supporting underperforming agents through insightful coaching resulting in improved performance metrics
  • Thoughtfully motivating and engaging with the sales team with effective monetary and non-monetary (intrinsic) motivational tactics (e.g. contests, prizes, and public recognition)
  • Assisting in recruitment, onboarding, and sales training

I’ve got the skills...but do I have the necessary ones?

  • 3+ years of sales experience with 2+ years of leading a sales team 
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and performance metrics
  • Experience working with sales software (CRM) and reporting tools. Capability to use these tools to maximize efficiency
  • You thrive in a fast paced, changing environment by maintaining a genuine positive and collaborative attitude
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Property and Casualty Insurance License or is currently licensed 
  • (Kin will provide training and cover expenses)
  • Contact center experience not required but a plus
