The B2B Hospitality Solutions team is focused on ensuring Tripadvisor is providing a world class suite of solutions for Hoteliers & Restaurants spanning the total addressable market of Enterprise to SMBs.

TripAdvisor is looking for an Associate Director/Group Head to lead the global Content Solutions business, which is part of the Hospitality Solutions organization.  The role will own strategy, growth, business operations and oversee the P&L for Content Licensing, Hotel Pricing Affiliate and the Review Collection revenue lines.  

The ideal candidate will combine strong business development, account management and analytical skills, with previous experience within a leading hospitality, media or technology brand. The role will be based in TripAdvisor’s headquarters in Needham. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker that can coach the team to define and meet the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Results for the team are focused on growing the global content licensing and affiliate revenue and new member acquisition through optimizing existing accounts and signing strategic, new accounts.  The leader will set the tone and culture for how this team achieves these goals, focused on developing contributors to drive revenue and collaboration. Your creativity and problem solving will be key to the team’s success. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead the strategic direction and vision of the Content Solutions business, including long term planning, strategic programs and initiatives

  • Manage a world class team to excellence, including recruitment, assessment, coaching and development of team members to ensure top performance and future succession at all levels

  • Maintain a good understanding of your business through in depth analysis and interaction with data, customers' feedback and insights, and competition benchmarks

  • Forecast business opportunities and internal resources required to ensure continued growth and success

  • Lead definition of annual objectives and contribute to the definition and achievement of OKRs on a quarterly basis for the business unit

  • Responsible for understanding business progress and tracking against business unit objectives (OKRs), bringing to light any risks and then putting plans into action with stakeholders to mitigate

  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, product, engineering, legal, finance, operations, customer support and content teams to answer questions, resolve issues and lead cross-departmental initiatives

  • Own P&L and build annual budget with the FP&A team

  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

  • Negotiate partnerships fairly and ensuring standards and compliance meet Tripadvisor corporate expectations, leading by example for your direct reports and coaching them throughs scenarios

  • Some travel required

What We Seek:

  • 10 years experience in sales/business development and sales leadership roles

  • Effective leadership skills.  Experience managing a high functioning team with cross-functional teammates. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.

  • Change management experience.  Ability to embrace change & drive change thoughtfully with teams.

  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically.  Proven skills in problem identification and solutioning.  Ability to identify problems and solve at scale, leading teams through execution.

  • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams.

  • Excellent communication skills. Being able to communicate effectively the range of strategic vision to specific project details with various stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

  • Business development skills.  Experience at building and growing client relationships through positive communication, honesty and trust.

  • Sales mentality.  Demonstrated ability to close deals and think creatively around consumer needs, partner opportunities and potential solutions.

  • Excellent analytical skills. Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective action plans to resolve issues is critical. 

  • Creativity and curiosity. A creative problem solver with a deep curiosity about making travel better and working to improve how we work as a team day-in and day-out.

  • An organized, entrepreneurial self-starter; able to identify what needs to get done, then executes with the team bought into the plan.

  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude

  • MBA Preferred
