Senior Account Manager

Artsy has created the world’s largest two-sided art marketplace, with more than 1,000,000 works by 100,000 artists from 4,000 of the world’s leading galleries, auction houses, art fairs, and institutions across 190 countries.


 

The Large Accounts team is looking for a Senior Account Manager who will work directly with our top galleries in North and Latin America (NALA) to help them see success on Artsy.

The Large Gallery Accounts team manages new partnerships and client relationships with 350 of the top galleries globally. The ideal candidate is ready to dive in and be a key team player for a high-performing team at Artsy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute plans to deliver more revenue for Artsy and our partners through portfolio management and sales opportunities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of upsell opportunities and collaborate with other members of the Large Accounts team to hit upsell goals.
  • Strengthen Artsy’s relationships with ~70 top gallery partners in NALA. Become a trusted partner and an extended part of the galleries’ teams with a regular cadence of contact
  • Execute on detailed customized subscription plans in coordination with internal delivery teams, ensuring on-time delivery of services and partner satisfaction through the process.
  • Drive eCommerce adoption and in-demand supply by educating partners on value, digital best practices, leveraging partner marketing tools, research and sales skills.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen our relationships and processes with teams across Artsy.
  • Work successfully and communicate regularly with a globally distributed team, brainstorming on how to improve processes and results using tools like Slack and Zoom

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of work experience in account management, sales, marketing and/or the contemporary art world (or comparable internships and education)
  • Affinity for providing quality service to clients and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills practiced in a customer/client facing role.
  • Sales experience managing a portfolio of clients with upsell targets.
  • Self-motivated, able to multitask and can work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated experience using sales management tools, like Salesforce
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure – can excel under time-sensitive deadlines and think strategically to problem solve when necessary, maintains a positive outlook in difficult or ambiguous situations, demonstrates emotional resilience.
  • Must be based in New York and available to start immediately on a full-time basis.

Plus, but not required: 

  • Experience in a Marketplace or SaaS company is a plus.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish or Portugese preferred, but not necessary.
