We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced, knowledgeable and accomplished Senior Account Manager, looking to further their career in Health Care or Medical Technology. This position is full time (37.5 hour week) and home based with an expectation of some travel.
You will report to the Head of Account Management working alongside the existing Account Management team.
Objective
The desired result of this role is to manage effectively key customer accounts at Patients Know Best, ensuring both the longevity and quality of the customer relationships, including driving customer growth and delivering great service, ultimately ensuring our customers choose to renew their customer contracts.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing an allocated set of key accounts
- Develop and execute collaborative account plans with key customers
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment between the customer and PKB objectives and delivery of these objectives, including attending and presenting at board level customer meetings
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple teams within PKB to enable the successful delivery of projects and programmes of work
- Full contract management including renewals and orders, change notices, risk mitigation and escalation, as well as involvement within bids and tenders and payment
- Maintain positive relationships and understand the respective needs of all stakeholders in your accounts
- Work closely with sales and marketing team to generate leads into other Trusts, ICS, STP based on successful networking and delivery of benefits within your Accounts
- Have a superior understanding and genuine interest in the UK healthcare market
- Work towards obtaining a first-rate knowledge of our product, Patients Know Best
- Build excellent relationships with other departments within PKB
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to project a confident and professional image inline with the company brand and values
- Industrious and resourceful, with a passion for the development of people
- Enthusiasm for healthcare and a belief in the PKB mission
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability and experience to adapt these styles to different situations/audiences
- Proven high level Account Management experience. We would expect the role holder to have a minimum of ten years working within account management
- Experience of account managing within a healthcare or medical organisation or a relevant SaaS company is essential
- Experience of working with the NHS
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strategic thinker with attention to detail and the ability to condense and simplify complex issues
- Calm, encouraging, approachable manner
- Good understanding of the UK medical market and maintain awareness of technological advances
