Omada Health is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing Accounting team. This team member will report to Omada Health's Accounting Manager and will be responsible for several core accounting areas at Omada Health, including payroll, accounts payable, elements of month end close and the support of ongoing Finance department projects. Additionally, this position will support the accounting team in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

We're looking for someone who more often than not breezes through tight financial processes and has excellent interpersonal relationships with the broader company. We're also a fast-growing startup so we need someone who thrives wearing multiple hats at a multitude of levels of responsibility. We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual that has the ability to work independently in support of the company’s accounting operations.

Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Perform month-end close including, but not limited to, journal entries and reconciliations various accounts
  • Perform bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing
  • Liaise with Human Resources team for benefits enrollment impact on payroll processing
  • Perform accurate and timely processing of vendor payment transactions and accruals
  • Manage employee credit card charges and out-of-pocket through Expensify; record charges on monthly basis
  • Maintain prepaids schedule, prepare monthly journal entries, and reconcile related accounts
  • Work individually and cross functionally toward process improvements and establishing tighter close deadlines
  • Assist with the year-end financial audit and annual reports as needed
  • Assist with Ad Hoc analysis as needed

 Minimum Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related fields
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting is required; payroll processing experience required
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills and Accounting System experiences
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Highly skilled in processing financial and numeric data
  • Excellent analytical, oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving and auditing know-how
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking skills, accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and data analysis
  • Team-oriented attitude
