The Finance & Accounting team is looking for a professional, bright, friendly, and team-oriented individual who is interested in an exciting and challenging position as our Senior Accountant at RefleXion Medical. This position reports to the Associate Director of Accounting and will require a strong understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to efficiently collaborate with various groups across the company as well as outside of the company.

The ideal candidate will have a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and self-motivate, and this person will have a flexible, can-do attitude. The position provides for the opportunity to develop rapidly and to learn and grow as part of a professional finance team.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including performing account analyses and reconciliations, and recording journal entries
• Support commercial accounting process and system development
• Support annual audit requests and inquiries from our external auditors
• Assist with the development and implementation of accounting control policies and procedures
• Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives to optimize and improve financial systems and processes
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• 5+ years of related accounting experience with demonstrated progression
• Big 4 and/or public company experience; CPA or CPA-tracking preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and standard accounting processes and control

• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-faced environment, with strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
• Results-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and strong desire to learn and to knowledge-share Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – QAD experience preferred
