Senior Analytics Engineer, FinOps

  • Play a vital role in informing and shaping the post-sales strategy for Instabug's Sales and Revenue team by identifying strategic data opportunities for the business by highlighting / investigating areas of opportunity (e.g. churn analysis, close rate analysis, customer movement)
  • Build and continuously monitor evergreen dashboards for teams to stay on top of their critical metrics and initiatives, and conducting deep dives to investigate success drivers of quote to cash metrics (e.g. monitoring Revenue performance and the accuracy of pipeline forecasts)
  • Work directly with our Head of Finance and the wider Sales team and Rev Ops team
  • Become the data subject matter expert by identifying data gaps and documenting the quote to cash process

Requirements

  • Have 4+ years experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or analytics engineer at a SaaS company
  • Have 3+ years experience as a revenue data analyst at a SaaS company with advanced domain knowledge in Stripe and Salesforce where you’re familiar with general sales analytics (e.g. pipeline opportunities, determining propensity to buy, investigating churn indicators or path to upgrade behaviors, recurring revenue, net and gross retention)
  • Are advanced in writing analytical SQL, you have some experience with python for statistical forecasting/modeling.
  • Have strategic thinking skills – seeing the big picture, clarifying strategic objectives, identifying relations, patterns and trends, thinking creatively, and analyzing information
  • Have a solid understanding of data warehouses, data pipelines, business intelligence tools, the modern data stack
  • Experience with test design and analysis, preferably in the high tech industry.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP would also be a big plus
  • Can communicate clearly and directly about complex technical topics while leading with empathy for your stakeholders
  • Have experience using Looker or other BI tools to build automated reporting
  • Are highly motivated to work autonomously, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Loves to document data models and business processes
