The Role
We are a team of data analysts/scientists that partner closely with engineering and product management to drive Afterpay Ads products. We deliver material outcomes to our revenue and work across the entire Afterpay consumer product domains.

- A data analytics manager with a strong background in data analytics and product thinking
- Have a track record of growing and empowering data scientists to drive business value through product recommendations, opportunity sizing, experimentation, and strategy optimization
- Manage the contributors on your team, and mentor the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management
- Skilled at communicating the results of technical work to executives, as well as proactively changing priorities and tactics for your team in response to strategic changes at the executive level
- Apply expertise in data analysis and visualization to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with our ads products.
- Be responsible for the team’s technical strategy and roadmap – creating success metrics in close collaboration with Engineering and Product Managers.
- Deliver data support for both short-term and long-term business development plans from the strategic scope and execution aspects with in-depth analysis.
- Work closely with key cross-functional teams such as product managers, data science, and engineers to solve business problems.

- 8+ years of experience in data & analytics, consulting, strategy & operations, advertising, high-growth startup experience
- 3+ years of experience in directly managing data scientists or data analysts
- Development experience in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
- Experience with a data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop) is a plus
