Our energy investment and asset management team of c.70 professionals is one of the largest and most experienced in Europe. The team is structured to support our rapid growth ambitions and long-term ownership of energy assets.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Operational Programme Manager to take a key role in the management of operational programmes across the Octopus Renewables solar portfolio.
Reporting to the Associate Asset Director in the Octopus Renewables Asset Management team, she/he will responsible for delivery of both site level and portfolio wide works programmes as they are rolled out across the portfolio. She/he will be heavily reliant on outsourced partners and expected to oversee and develop critical processes with them. The role will require good organisational skills, an ability to balance multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively. The role will be London based with travel to Europe required on occasion.

Outline of responsibilities
Prioritisation of workstreams across the portfolio with a critical focus on production and safety management
Working closely with outsourced providers to deliver portfolio wide workstreams in the most efficient manner possible
Oversight of the incident management process.
Development of necessary programme monitoring tools and processes with outsourcers to allow effective oversight of works performed
Management of escalated incidents and safety KPIs to ensure resolution within a timely manner
Support with management of fund conflicts where multiple competing mandates exist
Support junior team members with management of key issues, providing guidance and direction to these individuals
Manage team engagement across incidents, ensuring appropriate procedures are in place to allow appropriate level of engagement on incidents
Maintain and enhance the risk monitoring framework in place, designed to identify any issues early and resolve them in a timely fashion
Direct engagement with continuous improvement projects across the portfolio, supporting the wider asset optimisation initiatives
Support internal Octopus fund reporting
Good experience of renewable energy industry, with a particular focus on solar
Significant knowledge of typical project contractual frameworks (including SPAs, PPA, O&M and EPC contracts), the regulatory environment and how the industry operates
Highly organised, capable of balancing multiple workstreams and delivering under pressure to tight deadlines
Understanding of technical and operational aspects of Solar generation is preferable.
Track record of management of multiple project programmes is essential.
Experience of managing outsourced counterparties
He/she will be an excellent communicator at all levels, particularly when translating technical information for non-technical teams.
