Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) is a global team and its goal is to ensure that Visa is the best way for businesses to pay.  We help businesses succeed by providing innovative and secure B2B payment solutions. Commercial payments are an untapped market with low card penetration but huge potential. The Commercial payments landscape is evolving rapidly and getting increasingly sophisticated so for us to expand our Commercial footprint, VCS needs to solve industry issues not necessarily core to payments, develop acceptance solutions and partner with key players across the payments and technology ecosystem.

The Digital Partners & Enablers team are responsible for Visa’s relationships with the largest technology companies and platforms in the world.  The team identifies, structures, and closes deals to pursue opportunities with these critical companies.

This is a full time Senior Manager role, based in Europe – location is flexible, provided the candidate can work from a VISA office.  

 

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • This role is designed to fully support and unlock the Commercial opportunity across the Digital Partners & Enablers ecosystem. The role is expected to drive the B2B agenda and become the go-to person for any initiative that requires input or ownership from Visa Commercial Solutions

  • Be part of the Digital Partners & Enablers team and act as part of their extended team, collaborating with AEs, BDs and other key stakeholders driving the B2B opportunity through our solutions and capabilities

  • Drive specific VCS focus across the Big Tech clients (e.g. Meta, Google, Microsoft, etc), Issuing enablers and other Fintech clients working closely with the team on developing propositions, identifying new opportunities and defining a roadmap of execution for key clients and strategic areas within the B2B space

  • Further accountabilities include

    • Develop the strategic narrative to drive the VCS focus with this client segment

    • Develop account plans for the key clients and support the go-to-market and other cross-functional key growth initiatives

    • Engages with other key partner functions to drive alignment and prioritisation, including Merchant & Acquiring, B2B Marketing, Core Products, Client Engagement, Pricing and Corporate Communications teams

    • Demonstrates thought leadership and engaging with the widest range of stakeholders across the payment and financial management ecosystem to better explore opportunities and anticipate European market development requirements

    • Proactively works with key stakeholders to ensure open ongoing dialogue around the carded and non-carded market opportunity – this includes building relationships and influencing the key senior stakeholders across Visa

    • Drives connectivity, collaboration and ensures a smooth commercial and operational execution across VCS, the Digital Partners & Enablers and other business development teams

  • The incubation of this Visa Commercial Solutions role within the Digital Partners & Enablers teams is a critical pillar of the Commercial Money Movement and Solutions (CMMS) business, essential to achieving our ambitious growth targets

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

What we’re after…

  • The ideal candidate would preferably have an in-depth B2B payments expertise with either a Consulting, Proposition Development and Business development background. Commercial growth mindset, with demonstrated experience in in a client facing revenue generating environment and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proactive with a self-starter, can-do attitude, with ability to form strong working relationships with all levels of the organisation
  • Superior strategic thought leadership, analytical skills and ability to develop and sell new strategies to clients to deepen client relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment with significant change, ambiguity and adapting to evolving organisational requirements
  • Politically and commercially astute with the presence and credibility to build senior client and internal stakeholder relationships to achieve Visa team objectives
  • Outstanding executive communication skills (written, oral & presentation) with an ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way
