Red Star 3D are seeking a talented SENIOR CHARACTER ANIMATOR to work remotely on our production of a stop-motion-style BBC Christmas Special for Magic Light Pictures.
You MUST be resident in the UK for this position. We cannot consider applicants who do not live in the UK.
The job:
- Animate dramatic character performances, both dialogue and pantomime
- Animate human and creature characters in a distinctive stop-motion style
- Animate vehicles, props, cameras and other scene elements as necessary
Must have:
- Efficient, confident animation style for non-photorealistic characters
- Basic technical animation skills
- Five years production experience (minimum)
- Experience with Maya
Nice to have:
- Feature film / high-end TV experience
- Good sketching and drawing skills
- Experience with stop-motion style animation
- Acting/improv skills
- Experience with Shotgrid
Contract term: January - July 2024 (TBC)
Whilst this position is fully remote, due to the way it is funded we are ONLY able to consider artists based in the UK. Salaries/term negotiable.
