Senior Cloud Ops Engineer

We are looking for a talented and inquisitive Cloud Engineer whose drive for learning and determination for continuous improvement aligns with our ambitious, fast-growing and transforming company. Based in Melbourne, you will be a key player in planning, designing, building and testing the features of our next generation cloud platform that combines digital video assets, wearable data and athlete information to provide insights and analytics to coaching/support staff, sports scientists and athletes to assist in optimizing athlete performance. Our engineers match this ethos by taking responsibility for constantly improving productivity and development of self and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment with your short project timelines from conception to deployment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Design, deliver and support highly available, secure and scalable applications and infrastructure on cloud compute and storage platforms
  • Work closely with engineering teams to support application builds, continuous integration, deployments, migrations and new features and services
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, conduct performance tuning and tweaking
  • Coordinate and contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure and DevOps-related processes
  • Implement and support orchestration tools for the automation of key processes across the entire stack
  • Audit and optimise infrastructure for security, performance and cost
  • Provide key stakeholders with visibility of solution performance and your plans for continuous optimisation
  • Stay up to date with relevant technologies, balancing risk with effort and helping engineering identify opportunities to use the best of what’s new

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience running mission-critical application infrastructure on AWS
  • Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, containerisation strategies and tools, including provisioning with Terraform 
  • Experience in deploying, maintaining and optimising Kubernetes clusters.
  • A passion for solving problems through automation and tools 
  • Strong understanding of security best-practices
  • Highly developed, process-oriented skills for troubleshooting and problem solving 
  • Ability to excel in an agile and collaborative software development environment
