Senior Content Marketing Writer

SoundHound Inc. builds voice AI products that make it easier for people to engage with the world around them. We are looking for a Senior Content Marketing Writer to help ideate and produce dynamic and engaging content relevant to our target segments—with the goal of nurturing and growing leads, increasing brand awareness, conversion, and retention.

Reporting to the Director of Content Marketing, you’ll be responsible for creating long-form and short-form marketing content including blogs, contributed articles, infographics, newsletters, ad copy and emails, and web content.

The ideal candidate will bring a passion for engaging with our current and future customers, and have experience creating content for multiple platforms, engaging audiences through relevant storytelling, with an understanding of SEO. Experience writing in the high-tech industry for B2B audiences is required.

In this role you will:

• Write clear, concise, and accurate content based on observation and research
• Participate as a strategic contributor, creating content that will build SoundHound's awareness and differentiation in the market, attracting and converting more prospects
• Produce blog articles, email and newsletter copy, website content, contributed articles, white papers, ebooks, infographics, and other editorial and promotional content 
• Take initiative to suggest topics and opportunities to repurpose content
• Conduct research and interview source experts, including external influencers and internal talent
• Write content that is consistently on-brand and complies with SEO best practices
• Help maintain a content library, regularly review and update or retire content
• Participate in collaboration of marketing initiatives with the marketing team, including product marketing and demand generation.
• Provide editing as part of the writing process for other team members

We would love to hear from you if:

• You 7+ years of writing experience, with at least 5 years focused on B2B writing
• You have an undergraduate degree preferably in Marketing, English, Journalism, or similar field
• You are a corporate storyteller who can create content to help build connections with our target audiences and that compels action
• You have written for the B2B audiences in the high tech industry
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You show flexibility and the ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment
• You have organizational skills and attention to detail
• You have an editorial mindset and a strong grasp of English language conventions
• You have ability to forge strong interpersonal bonds and work collaboratively with key internal and external partners
• You have high integrity, energy, and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• You have curiosity and interest in researching and understanding relevant industry trends, market developments, and competitor landscape
• You are comfortable working with a range of tools: Jira, Asana, WordPress, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive
