Senior Data Analyst

Glossier is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to take our data practice to the next level. You will work closely with our Head of Data to provide data-driven insights to teams across the organization in order to inform strategic decision-making. You will take a leading role in shaping our Data practices, and you will use your insights to scope projects, propose approaches, and help to drive them to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a data-driven culture, empower others to proactively use data to make decisions
  • Model, analyze and measure success of key initiatives
  • Work closely with business partners to create and evolve dashboards for key business performance indicators and metrics
  • Communicate findings across the organization in a way that is accessible to non-technical team members
  • Perform one-off analyses around other key business metrics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with strong experience in data & business analysis
  • 3-5 years as a Data Analyst or related position with significant quantitative and analytical experience
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL and proficiency in:
    • Python (preferred) or R
    • Relational or NoSQL Databases
    • Looker (preferred), Tableau, or similar
    • Excel
  • Strong data visualization skills (e.g. D3.js, ggplot2, matplotlib, Looker, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with site analytics and experiment design (e.g. A/B testing)
  • Ability to generate complex analyses scalably, reproducibly, and to present subsequent insights across teams and to management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e-commerce
  • Experience with AWS or similar platforms
  • Experience translating business analysis into consumer products strategy
  • Strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the desire to bring structure to undefined processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable yet persistent
  • Enthusiastic, creative, entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills (peers and leadership
