We are looking for a developer who has passion for data and automation in data life cycle management to join our team. As a member of this team, you will play a vital role in continuing to build out a robust and automated data environment.

What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll be working with internal stakeholders, data and analytics teams, external partners, and other technologists across the business. This position requires a passionate data technologist – if you’re someone with expertise in cloud, dev/data ops, and operational processes and can maintain the fine balance of business acumen and deep technical knowledge, you’ve come to the right place.


What you will be doing:

  • Develop ETL processes to load and support the entire Heights Finance data environment. 
  • Utilize SQL and python to build optimal loads for data warehouses and data marts. 
  • Assist in database and data mart design, and work with multiple departments to build data marts, data sets and reports as requested. 
  • Ensure sensitive information is protected during loads and at rest by sufficient encryption methods. 
  • Develop tools to handle multiple types and sizes of data sources, planning for growth, and monitor performance and status of ETL processes. 
  • DBA knowledge and experience will be helpful.

 

What you should have:

  • Knowledgeable in a scripting language (PowerShell, python, C# preferred).
  • Proficient with SQL and warehousing architecture techniques.
  • Snowflake experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or business field; Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests.
  • Familiarity with encryption tools to encrypt/decrypt files with sensitive information.
  • Ability to see the ‘big-picture’ of company data needs and processes.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical terms to diverse audience.

Base Salary:  $85,000 - $120,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average.  The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
