We are seeking a talented The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for ensuring the operations and security of Envoy Global’s physical, cloud (Azure), and electronic data infrastructure with a passion for DevOps, support, and security for our growing organization. Reporting to the Lead , this position will work closely with Envoy Global’s development, database, project management, and IT teams to support Envoy’s world-wide customer facing platform. We are looking for a proactive person with the ability to foresee the needs of the company and be part of our growth.
As our successful Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be required to:
- Design and deliver DevOps projects that ensure infrastructure is 24x7 operational as well as cost effective.
- Manage operational aspect of the CI/CD pipeline including infrastructure, networking, deployments, and permission management.
- Participate in architecture, requirements, and planning sessions with project owners and stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for services and maintenance of software and systems.
- Work closely with Development, Data, QA, Project Management, and Infosec teams to ensure management, operability, and security of Envoy’s applications hosted in Azure.
- Participate in planning sessions and daily stand-ups with DevOps staff and management located in the United States headquarters.
- Proactive planning and organization to adjust to the flexible needs of Envoy Global’s business.
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are tested and updated on an annual basis.
- Serve as an escalation point to help prioritize and resolve complex or urgent issues and incidents.
To apply for this position, you will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- At least 6 years of DevOps experience with a focus on system builds and deployments, preferably in an Azure environment using infrastructure as a code deployment platforms (Git, Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and .net/agular builds and deployments using various tools including Azure DevOps.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or relevant work experience in an IT Managed Services environment
- Desired Certifications: MCSE, ITIL, NIST, Azure Infrastructure/Architect (AZ-304,305,400,700).
- Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Expert level hands on experience working with these technology areas:
- Azure platform services, specifically: Azure SQL, Service Bus, Key Vault, Blob Storage
- Kubernetes clusters (experience in Azure AKS a plus)
- Source control branching using GIT
- CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, etc.)
- Windows Server/Linux Administration
- Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Content Delivery Network providers (Cloudflare, Akamai)
- Monitoring tool sets such as Splunk, ELK, Data Dog
- Self-motivated, self-directed and customer service-focused with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Champion Change and Release management
- Solid understanding of cloud networking including vnets, subnets, peerings, load balancers, gateways, routing.
- Be available 24x7 to assist in Releases as well as operational or security incidents.
