 The alice + olivia IT team designs, develops and maintains massively scaling technology solutions that are brought to life with innovative architectures, data analytics and digital solutions.  This team supports the applications related to the Retail, Ecommerce, Supply Chain, and Finance for our growing global organization.

The Senior Director, IT Applications and Development is an exciting opportunity to set the strategy for all the business applications which give our company a winning edge in our industry. This role is responsible for leading the application development team which provide software development, implementation, testing and Tier 3 support to enable our business. We are looking for a leader who likes to roll up their sleeves and get into the details, as much as coaching and mentoring a team of passionate software engineers.

This person is a software leader with demonstrated experience in defining and implementing practical and effective strategy, policies, processes, and tools across systems in a fast-paced environment. It is critical that this person establishes and maintains strong relationships with IT direct reports, peers, business leaders and 3rd party partners. They must have a strong impact, influencing skills and an executive presence. 



  • Develop an overall strategy for business and technical applications that can take the company into the future, enabling growth and ensuring the compatibility of systems and strategy across the entire organization.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to understand our company’s challenges.  This person will create software and application roadmaps to address opportunities and architect, test, and deliver solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Maintain strategic insights into commercially available IT systems and practices that can streamline our business practices and create a competitive edge.
  • Participate in and lead senior management discussions around IT project strategy, including project scoping, project approval, project execution, cost management, and customer relationships related to information technology.
  • Collaborate closely across the IT Leadership team and provide technical leadership to define overall corporate technology strategy.



  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Retail and Supply Chain Application Requirements, Support and Development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Retail and Supply chain organizations.
  • Experience and Knowledge working with ERP solutions that span Finance, Distribution and Order Management
  • Experience soliciting, documenting and analyzing business processes and flows.
  • Excellent team building skills.   Experience leading, managing and transforming an IT team.
  • Experience in an international environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Blue Cherry is a plus.
  • Experience with integration technologies such as EDI, API and ESB.
  • Preferred experience in the retail industry.
