Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Sr Director of Engineering, Cloud Services to build and then lead a team that will provide metrics and insight into cloud spend across the organization.  This team will be responsible for supporting the various teams in using cloud resources efficiently and effectively. 

Who?

Twilio is looking for a Sr Director of Engineering, Cloud Services who lives the Twilio Magic and has a proven track record of leading cross-team cloud strategies and tactics. They also have:

  • Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Proven experience in collaborating with cross functional business units
  • Experience stability visibility into cloud platform spend through metrics and reporting
  • Experience building and growing teams based on the business needs
  • Experience working with stakeholders to educate them on the impact of cloud configuration decisions
  • Experience providing cost input to stakeholders to ensure cost management
  • Experience working with finance to create cost models of AWS environmental usage to identify trends and help plan budget forecasts

  • NO SHENANIGANS: Identify the largest cloud cost areas and very selectively engineer unobtrusive, high-impact tactics and strategies to reduce costs without impacting, and perhaps improving, service quality

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Tier 4 base salary range: $214,272 - $294,624

Rest of Colorado:

Tier 5 base salary range: $200,880 - $276,210

Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
