Senior Engineer, Test Engineering (BQST HAMR)

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Test Engineering (BQST HAMR) to join our team in BangPa-in, Thailand. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the development and implementation of advanced test strategies for our cutting-edge Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) technology. As a senior member of our test engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data storage solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and methodologies for HAMR technology and related data storage systems
  • Lead the automation of test processes to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test cases, procedures, and reports
  • Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure testability of new features and products
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in test engineering and data storage
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for test engineering within the organization

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in test engineering, preferably in the data storage or hard drive industry
  • Advanced knowledge of test engineering principles and methodologies

PREFERRED:

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks
  • Experience with HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) technology
  • Familiarity with data analysis and statistical tools
  • Knowledge of hardware testing and validation processes
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role
