We in the Search team, develop the core features of Truecaller, and we contribute to enhancing our users’ communication experience by providing them with the most relevant identity information and state-of-the-art spam protection. Our vision is to provide the ultimate search experience for our users and keep their communication relevant and spam-free.
As a Engineering Manager in Search, Assets and Spam, you will be building and further developing a high-performing engineering team operating within the domain that’s most critical for Truecaller’s success. You will have an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the future of the team whose work positively impacts the lives of over 368 million people across the globe.
The impact you will create:
- Lead and contribute to the personal development of a high-performing team of engineers (backend as well as frontend)
- Guide, support, and inspire the team as they work on delivering business as well as technical objectives
- Execute performance management processes within the team
- Enable sustainability, well being, and happiness in the team
- Partner with the Product team to facilitate meeting of product and business outcomes
- Work closely with the Tech Leads of each discipline to identify areas/ processes that can be improved
- Collaborate with the talent acquisition team at Truecaller to grow the team with the right talent; efficiently integrate and mentor new team members

Help drive the technical strategy of the organization in collaboration with your peers in the Engineering Manager discipline and the Truecaller Technical Counsel
What you bring in:
- You are a proven leader with extensive experience leading engineering teams at technology companies, preferably ones with a user-facing product
- You’re passionate about developing high-performing engineers and teams solving complex problems
- You are an exceptional communicator who can communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external
- You’re inspiring, influential, and driven by making an impact
- You have at least 3 years of experience managing teams
It would be great if you also have:
- BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
