The Opportunity:

Chef’s Plate is looking for a Senior Finance Manager. As a Senior Manager, you will lead all financial reporting, budgeting & business analytics for the company. You will partner with department heads and drive the development of the company’s budgeting and FP&A processes. You will be responsible for assisting with analysis of customer lifetime value, customer retention and forecasting re-order rates. The ideal candidate will be a persistent self-starter with excellent technical skills, great attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn. You will need to be adaptable to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy together with being flexible to deadlines with short lead times.

You will be consummate communicator and provide insights that will enable senior management to make decisions on the direction of the company.

  • 3+ years experience. Having completed 2+ years in a FP&A management position in retail, wholesale or e-commerce with heavy inventory and capital requirements, and have owned the modeling of those cash flows
  • Have 1-3 years of work experience in a combination of analytical roles, such as accounting, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity or management consulting
  • Functional knowledge of financial reporting and accounting
  • Must have superior Excel skills and comfortable managing complex financial/analytical models
  • Can drive cross-functional initiatives involving employees from across the organization
  • Flexibility; someone who is adaptive to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy, flexible to deadlines with short lead times
  • Strong preference for candidate who has previous startup/medium-sized business experience and e-commerce a definite plus
  • Comfortable communicating to senior management, board members, investors and lenders in a clear and effective manner
