Why it matters: Our Senior FP&A Analyst will play a key role in driving the vision for Axios HQ as an AI-powered essential communications tool by being an analytical thinker assessing big business questions and help management deeply understand the nuances of our business. This opportunity will allow you to play a significant role in shaping business opportunities by providing senior management and executives with the analysis and information they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

The details: In this role, you will make an impact to Axios HQ through the following ways:

• FP&A Responsibilities:
• Develop financial models through benchmarking and analysis 
• Create management reporting presentations and analyses for regular monthly or quarterly review
• Participate in budgeting for departments and projects
• Coordinate with the VP-Finance and the executive team on long-term financial planning
• Benchmark financial performance against internal and external data
• Support revenue operations functions with data, guidance and analytical efforts
• Accounting Responsibilities
• Translate booked deals into contracts for invoice creation and revenue recognition
• Record cash received from customers against outstanding invoices 
• Contribute to month-end close reporting package alongside accounting manager

• Experience in finance at a technology company, public accounting, investment banking or consulting highly preferred
• Loves solving problems with data; sheets/excel superuser and may be proficient in R or Python
• Great at working with stakeholders to identify and answer meaningful questions about business performance
• Happy to get their hands on every part of forward-looking FP&A, current business analytics, and accounting 

Don’t forget: 

• Axios HQ believes in fair and equitable pay. Base salary for this role is in the range of $95,000-$115,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills.
