Summary:

In the senior full-stack engineer role, you will be responsible for developing infrastructure for data collection, storage and web based user interfaces. You will create and optimize databases, build web APIs and applications for user interaction including user management, multi-dimensional data display.

As a founding engineer in the EU team you will be hands-on from day 1 with the outlook to mentor and guide further team members joining after you. At the same time you have a chance to work with the existing international software team spanning across North America and Asia. 

You will be successful if you are a starter and initiator opposed to being just a follower.

The role is remote, preferably within Estonia.

Please note that at this time we don’t offer visa or relocation support, therefore we only accept applications from people already eligible to work in Estonia / EU.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the product, business and other engineering teams to evolve the Trackonomy software platform. 
  • Figuring out the best solution for a requirement or functionality, using the existing tech stack or advocating for additional tools and methodologies to achieve the desired outcome.  
  • Developing effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and standards - this includes unit testing and peer reviews for work done by others.
  • Ensuring scalability and availability of the solution considering the business criticality of the product. 
  • Mentoring and guiding other team members to achieve the desired results together.

Required Experience:

You will be working both with the front-end and backend but as the team evolves, there will be a chance to focus more on a specific area of interest. 

We believe you will be successful if the following is true:

  • You have at least 5-6 years experience in full-stack development for a Saas product
  • You have experience with designing and building scalable API-s
  • You have worked both with SQL and NoSQL databases (i.e. MS SQL, Redis, CosmosDB)
  • You have experience with various front-end and back-end technologies like React, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Node.js, Python
  • These terms are also familiar to you - CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab), Apache Kafka, microservices.
  • You have working proficiency in English, written and spoken

Additional qualifications

  • Formal degree in computer science is helpful
  • You have experienced life in a VC-backed startup
  • Interest or even experience in data science, machine learning is a big bonus
  • Any certifications or trainings on the topics above
