As one of our Senior Genetic Counselor's you will assist in test report drafting, provide genetic counseling to patients via telephone, and perform variant interpretation. You’d be a part of a superstar team & work on a groundbreaking test that solves a critical unmet medical need. BillionToOne’s UNITY product (unityscreen.com) is the only carrier screen with reflex single-gene NIPT for CF, SMA, and thalassemias. BillionToOne also offers aneuploidy NIPT as well as fetal RhD NIPT for Rh-negative mothers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pretest and post-test genetic counseling for patients regarding BTO’s test offerings which include carrier screening with reflex single-gene NIPT and aneuploidy NIPT
  • Draft test results in a timely manner to be sent to ordering physicians
  • Perform variant interpretation for variants identified through carrier screening or single-gene NIPT
  • Assist with the development of patient and provider education materials
  • Participate in the call-out of test results to providers as necessary
  • Obtain and maintain genetic counseling licensure as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in genetic counseling or equivalent degree
  • Experience with variant interpretation preferred but not required
  • Experience in prenatal genetic counseling preferred but not required
  • ABGC certified and licensed in home state if applicable 
  • Multi-state licensure preferred but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • You are detail oriented and passionate about providing high quality genetic counseling and customer service
  • You are flexible and enjoy a fast-paced work environment

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).

For this position, the base pay range is: $90,000-$120,000 per year
