Senior HR Generalist – Talent & Engagement

Overview:

The Senior HR Generalist – Talent & Engagement is responsible for working with the Director, People – Talent & Insights to primarily support the organization’s employee engagement and DEI programs. The Senior HR Generalist is also responsible for the project management and coordination of learning and development programs in support of the business strategy. The role requires a strong action orientation to keep multiple programs running and will also have the opportunity to innovate in designing improvements to existing programs and creating new programs to support business goals and initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Employee Engagement (67%) – provide support to the full-cycle listening and action-planning processes to develop an employee experience that supports full engagement and delivery of company objectives. Duties include:
    • Assist with annual Pulse Survey design and lead implementation.
    • Support administration of employer awards programs.
    • Support local site and company-wide employee engagement initiatives.
    • Assist in implementing the diversity, equity and inclusion (“DEI”) initiatives.
    • Facilitate ongoing recognition and communication programs.
  • Other Talent Management initiatives (33%):
    • Steward LMS (Bridge) and LinkedIn Learning and coordinate other Learning & Development programs, including Real Colors training and Leadership Development with the opportunity to design learning paths and introduce programs as capacity allows.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and occasionally facilitates training sessions, including Monthly Manager Seminars
    • Work with SMEs to build training (systems, processes, HR programs, etc.)
    • Performance Management – coordinate performance management programs to ensure they are efficiently managed. Participate in the program and ensure it is effectively supporting the business in driving performance.
    • HR Projects & Insights – support with other HR programs, project management and the production of people analytics, as directed. 

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years Human Resources experience: experience in Project Management or Communications would also be considered relevant.
  • A passion for coordinating programs and events to deliver an excellent employee experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to present a clear and engaging message.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently.
  • Able to build relationships quickly to influence the success of our Talent programs.
  • Desire to advocate for a positive employee experience and a sensitivity to the workplace culture.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work well both independently and in a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred:

  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of Slack, Teams and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with HR software (such as UKGPro) and Learning Management Systems (ideally Bridge)
