Senior HRIS Analyst

Mission Summary:

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in HCM system administration with proven functional and technical expertise. The Senior HRIS Analyst will be the lead resource for the HR Operations team managing employee data, creating functional processes within the system, liaising closely with IT, and ensuring data integrity and compliance. The Senior Analyst will partner with HR colleagues on key deliverables, share system knowledge and train as needed and also engage with employees to troubleshoot any Tier 1 issues to resolution.This role is also responsible for managing and enhancing Motional’s end-user experience by aiding in the continuous improvement of the Oracle HCM system and defining Core HR processes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the HRIS, and partnering with IT on upgrades/patches and integrations.
  • Manage the global support and maintenance of the HRIS system with IT and core end users. Troubleshoot and test issues as needed
  • Create/Update test scripts and perform end to end system testing
  • Liaise with IT for enhancements and lead system upgrades/patches by organizing the efforts, testing and validating with core users
  • Maintain data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data and creating audit reports.
  • Work alongside the IT department to perform regular assessments and improvements to the HRIS by recommending system enhancements
  • Design HR Operations processes, definitions, guidelines, and documentation for core and end users.
  • Maintain and document user based security role assignments in the HRIS
  • Build/generate custom/ad hoc reports for members of HR or within other company departments.
  • Create and implement HR Operations business processes into the HCM system
  • Ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws.
  • Support HR team/management on structural policy matters related to the HRIS.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the HRIS marketplace and system capabilities
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Partner closely with HR and IT members on processes, projects, and tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
  • Learn Motional’s organizational structure and key business units
  • Connect with partners in HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance establishing relationships and learning how each of their areas connect to the HRIS
  • Learn, document, and improve processes within the Oracle HCM system
  • Serve as the lead and key contributor for upcoming HR Operations projects
  • Collaborate and partner with multiple teams to facilitate successful completion of projects
  • Act as a SME in multiple areas where they will lead, mentor, and train colleagues
  • Provide world-class customer service to our employees ensuring inquiries/issues are addressed and resolved timely
  • Proactively work to solve challenges, and assist in meeting departmental and company OKRs

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience as a HRIS/HR Operations analyst or higher role
  • Highly analytical and organized individual 
  • Previous experience in a senior or management role (Sr or Lead)
  • Project management expertise
  • HRIS data administration experience (Oracle preferred; experience with various HCM systems helpful)
  • Experience with HCM implementations, testing of upgrades, patches and new applications to test new and existing functionality
  • Demonstrated contextual knowledge of the HR function & HR Operations processes

Bonus Points (not required):

  • Oracle HCM system administration and functional experience 
  • Oracle BI reporting experience
  • Experience working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment
