The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for helping to lead the Human Resources team and providing HR guidance to the Manager/Supervisors of Keller Mortgage. The Senior HR Generalist will help to answer senior level HR questions; makes recommendations to the Human Resources Manager about issues that need to be addressed; e.g. what training programs are needed, how to improve on-boarding and hiring practices, assist with employee moral programs and other any additional HR functions to make Keller Mortgage a better company. This position supports the HR Manager and the organization by acting on employee complaints, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and assisting with performance management and training programs. The Senior HR Generalist must be a team player that is willing to work with all different levels of education and experience in both the HR team that they are supporting and throughout the entire company. 


  • Manage escalation issues and answer questions for the HR Generalist and the HR Coordinators
  • Works directly with the HR Manager to help build a best in class workplace
  • Assists with making offers to incoming employees. Maintains knowledge of Keller Mortgage’s changing company culture to ensure they are up-to-date on the benefits for working at Keller Mortgage
  • Maintains confidential employee records.
  • Assists with making culture changes to Keller Mortgage
  • Stays current on trends and human resources topics
  • Assist with FMLA and LOA requests – helping to ensure that all paperwork is given to employees in the time required
  • Responsible for communicating any changes to employees and attempting to answer any specific questions posed by employees  
  • Assesses training needs of organization and individual associates and assists in the project management of training for all levels of employees throughout the organization
  • Assist with administering Keller Mortgage employee retention and recognition programs, determining unique and creative methods to recognize and incent employees for exceptional performance.  May be instrumental in the execution of the company’s succession planning process
  • Manage various corporate administration functions, including company events and monthly meetings
  • Assists in monitoring Keller Mortgage’s employee culture – helping to provide feedback on employee morale and other employee relation topics that would help in retain current employees and recruit top level candidates
  • Will assist with the processing of payroll, including maintenance of the HRIS system as needed
  • Answer employee questions regarding their respective compensation
  • Assist with new employee orientation and training as well as assist managers in preparation for expected new employees
  • Provide feedback and review related to the drafting of company policies (and operational manuals when necessary); updating the Employee Handbook and communicating with employees and managers regarding the content of the handbook, answering questions and providing guidance based upon the content and policies contained within the Employee Handbook
  • Assist with any other human resources related task as needed

  • Five or more years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a multi-location work environment 
  • Possess or is willing to obtain Human Resources certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP and/or SHRM-SCP and/or continuing education related to employee benefits and human resources
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to fellow employees, customers and external vendors in a professional, articulate and respectful manner
  • Demonstrated ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
  • Proven experience prioritizing projects based upon business demands and multiple requests from various entities in a fast-paced, high-production, deadline driven environment
  • Proven experience adhering to deadlines and expected delivery dates
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to fellow employees, customers and external vendors in a professional, articulate and respectful manner
  • Demonstrated ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
  • Proven ability to multi-task, and stay organized in an independent environment
  • Possess a passion and desire to continuously improve their style and work productivity  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
