Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, developing, and implementing the policies, activities, operations, and staff of our Human Resource (HR) department in Puerto Rico. Your main objective will be to ensure legal compliance and the effective implementation of our organization's mission and talent strategy within the island. Additionally, you will manage the day-to-day strategies for people processes and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of Office Management and Human Resources for our Puerto Rico operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations, as well as alignment with our company's policies and procedures
  • Work closely with leadership to properly implement strategic projects across the organization. Partner with the local (PR) leadership and other stakeholders to understand business needs and develop effective HR solutions that support organizational goals
  • Provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring fair and consistent application across the organization. Collaborate with business leaders to understand challenges and opportunities within the organization
  • Foster an environment of intellectual curiosity and mentor analysts for continuous improvement. Deliver solutions aligned with global strategy and frameworks. Drive the desired culture within the organization
  • Stay updated on local labor market trends, legislative changes, and industry best practices to proactively address potential HR challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Perform functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation and analysis, visualization, and presentation/communication of results and recommendations
  • Oversee HR data management, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of employee records, reports, and HRIS systems
  • Build relationships with senior leaders and relevant managers, positioning HR as a trusted advisor to the business. Develop plans and provide recommendations to senior leaders on key business and HR issues. Engage with leaders to enhance people's capacity and readiness for change
  • Work in partnership with recruitment to optimize hiring for the organization. Address complex people-related issues such as change management, executive-level recruitment, leadership development, and workforce planning, in consultation with subject matter experts
  • Handle any other HR-related duties or projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Human Resources, Healthcare Management/Administration and Policy, or a similar background
  • 5+ years of work experience in Human Resources
  • 3 + years of experience working with US Based organizations with an emphasis on US infrastructure and Puerto Rico operations
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
  • Preferred certifications: PHR, SPHR, or SHRM
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • On Island residency
