Senior Implementation Specialist

About the role: 

The Senior Implementation Specialist (SIS) works with our Professional Services Delivery team to deliver successful SaaS implementations to customers. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Customer Implementation Delivery: You are responsible for the successful delivery of AlayaCare Cloud implementations. This includes configuring the application, providing product training, and testing to ensure project health and customer adoption.

  • Project Ownership: You take a leading role in complex projects and become the subject matter expert on the AlayaCare platform. You are essential to the successful adoption of AlayaCare by customers.

  • Collaboration: You collaborate with the consulting team during the handoff phase, ensuring a smooth transition from the discovery phase. You also identify and mitigate risks during the delivery phase.

  • Project Planning: You provide input to and execute project plans, working with customers to understand their processes and goals. You track project progress and ensure that scope is adhered to.

  • Customer Training: You develop customer-specific training plans to maximize adoption. You deliver on-site and remote training to customer trainers and end users. You also facilitate customer setup in AlayaCare University and monitor engagement.

  • Workflow Reviews: You conduct high-quality workflow reviews using your knowledge of the AlayaCare platform and customers' businesses to ensure alignment.

  • Compliance: You maintain up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with internal processes and procedures.

Location and travel requirements:

Some travel will be required within Canada and the USA for customer engagements and onsite events. This is a hybrid working model involving a blend of in-office in either Toronto, Montreal, Victoria or Vancouver with some remote flexibility. 

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. A blend of other post-secondary education and relevant experience is also considered.

  • Additional Training: Courses, certificates, or training in project management, professional services, customer success, implementations, adult learner training, etc., are assets.

  • Experience: You should have at least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role and 2+ years of experience working within a SaaS environment in an implementation, project, or consulting capacity, or as an internal subject matter expert supporting software implementations and trainings.

  • Training Skills: You should have strong training skills and be familiar with adult learning styles.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with an attention to detail are essential.

  • Technical Acumen: You should have technical acumen and experience with various tools and programs.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. You should be able to collaborate and build strong relationships.

  • Problem Solving: You should be solution-focused and creative in problem-solving techniques.

  • Tools and Software: Experience using project tools, ticketing software, and customer relationship management software such as Mavenlink, Confluence, HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk is a plus.

  • Self-Motivation: You are expected to be a proactive self-starter with strong analytical skills who enjoys thinking outside the box.

  • Teamwork: You should be able to work both independently and in a team setting.

  • Willingness to Travel: A willingness to travel within Canada and the USA for customer on-sites and meetings is required (approximately 10-20% of the time).
