About the Internal Auto Claims Auditor role 

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about creating fiercely loyal customers when it matters most.  We’re looking for an Internal Auto Claims Auditor to work with our Claims Team to ensure a great claims experience while ensuring that claims are processed in compliance with our policies. You’ll report into our Finance organization and work closely with our claims and finance teams to implement and evolve our claims audit program and strategy and help grow the team as the business grows.

You will

  • Reviews and audits auto insurance claim files and payments for Quality Assurance and compliance with Metromile policies
  • Analyzes and evaluates auto insurance claims reports and data
  • Conducts claims audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards, best practices.
  • Develops internal audit programs for review of auto insurance claims using quantitative and qualitative factors
  • Communicate audit results in a collaborative manner to improve operational compliance, efficiencies and business results.
  • Creates and updates audit surveys as a part of the Audit Team
  • Assist with establishing and implementing policies, procedures and controls.
  • Assist with other projects and responsibilities, as needed.

About you

  • Bachelor degree in a business related field
  • 5+ years of experience in auto insurance handling BI and PD claims
  • Strong understanding and experience with Property Damage and Bodily Injury claims
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Self-managed, highly motivated, and confident
  • Able to work well under deadlines in a high-paced, changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective team player
  • Experience with Guidewire, ACL Analytics Software a plus.
