About the Team

The Harry’s Brand Accounting team is part of the Finance team and is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of the company’s financial statements, as well as the creation of processes that are effective and scalable. The team plays a critical role in helping key members make informed financial decisions that affect the company.

The Role

You probably like the idea of a world where things are black and white but deep down need a little grey – a little adventure.  If you’re a rare someone with a love for numbers and Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, then this job is your dream come true.  We are looking for a Senior Inventory Accountant who is excited and able to own, create, and manage the inventory accounting processes at a young and vibrant company. 

Here’s a few things that you will do:

  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of our Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold accounts
  • Analyze schedules in regard to inventory levels, purchase orders, and manufacturing activities for a multi-channel company
  • Perform unit cost analysis
  • Own the end to end Inventory Accounts Payable process
  • Manage direct and indirect inventory related cost allocation
  • Complete Month End closing tasks relating to inventory related accounts
  • Analyze slow moving inventory and assist in development of Inventory Reserve
  • Develop and produce reports, accompanied by other key metrics
  • Participate in ERP system automation projects where applicable and become a key user of the system

You might have this background:

  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep into solving problems and data inconsistency
  • Ability to independently own and drive projects, where applicable.
  • A track record of successful team collaboration
  • Prior inventory experience in private industry, Amazing, but not required.
  • CPA or similar track, a plus.
  • Audit experience in retail, manufacturing or ecommerce also a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SAP or similar ERP experience would be awesome
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Here’s who you’ll work with:

  • Report directly to the Assistant Controller
  • Work daily with members of Finance
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain & Distribution teams
  • At times, work with numerous teams cross functionally on specific projects
  • Eat team lunch on Thursday and Tuesday bagels with the entire Harry’s team
