Senior iOS Engineer

The Engineering team at Brainly is working on some of the most complex challenges in the ed-tech space: creating communities for students around the world. We focus on building the infrastructure that enables Brainly users to ask and answer millions of questions every day. The systems we build are used across all of Brainly, making us one of the most cross-functional teams at the company.

For now we are looking for iOS Engineers for Supersonic Team.

Supersonic Team takes care of Textbook solutions. In this project, the questions from the textbooks are digitalized, answered by the team of experts, and uploaded to the database via self-written CMS.

You have a chance to become a part of great company delivering Q&A learning platform which is used by 350+ million unique users monthly. 


What will you do:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining code for Brainly mobile platforms to enhance the great learning experience for our users
  • Solving complex challenges such as performance, scalability, and security
  • Collaborating with other software engineers to design scalable services, plan feature roll-out, and ensure high reliability and performance of your deliverables
  • Conducting code reviews, contributing high-quality documentation, and building robust test suites for your features

We expect you to have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing applications for Apple mobile platforms
  • Fluency in Swift
  • Strong understanding of the iOS SDK
  • Ability to create a well-designed public API
  • High attention to detail
  • Good understanding of common back-end system integration/web services/APIs
  • Understanding of Git
  • Fluency in English (in speaking and writing)

Nice to have:

  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns
  • Lean approach
  • Experience with SDK development
  • Experience with mobile analytics
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Eagerness to create beautiful, snappy and modern UI
  • Experience with implementing Apple Renewable Subscriptions
  • Experience in the cloud environment

  • Location: Kraków
  • Salary: 15 000 - 20 000 PLN gross/ monthly, employment contract
