What would I be doing?

You will be part of a team of 5-8 engineers, a Team Lead and a Product Manager. You will contribute to the delivery of features from conception to production. 

As you grow in your role, you will:

  • Drive technical excellence within our teams 
  • Be an example for other developers to aspire to. 
  • You will be a practitioner of clean code, TDD and will contribute to the evolution of our Agile processes. 
  • You will understand the value of continuous integration, continuous delivery and strive for a high level of automation.
  • Participating in out of hours support rota where agreed.

What does the team do

With the continual growth of our London Development Centre we are currently recruiting in both our Fulfilment & Supply Chain teams.

Our Fulfilment team builds the software powering our next-generation fulfilment centres, our software implements complex algorithms and business logic to schedule and coordinate the work of hundreds of people fulfilling customer orders. This includes receiving stock from suppliers, decanting and storing inventory, picking and dispatching orders, including dealing with expectations. 


Our Supply Chain teams build the systems that power the supply chains and planning activities for retailers around the world. As high-profile, mission critical apps, these require creativity and engineering prowess to succeed.

What we are looking for 

  • Programming skills, in JVM Language ( e.g. Java or Scala)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD  concepts
  • Strong collaboration skills that will allow you to work effectively alongside a cross-functional team
  • Good understanding of data structures
  • Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience implementing new architecture at scale 
  • Experience of implementing good testing practices like TDD and BDD.

We would love it if you have:

  • Experience with Node.js or React
  • Worked in an Agile environment
  • Experience with maintaining, or contributing to, open-source projects
  • Familiarity with AWS solutions such as EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc
  • Knowledge of service oriented and microservices architectures
  • A test-driven approach to development.
